Founded in 1946, Carpigiani soon established itself as a market leader in the sector of artisanal ice cream machines. With the spread of the culture of "Italian ice cream" in the world, in the 60s and 70s, it started a strong expansion also at an international level.
Today Carpigiani is a large international company with 8 branches around the world, more than 200 distributors and over 500 service centers.
The group also offers training for ice cream makers: in 2003 Carpigiani Gelato University was born, which trains almost 7,000 people every year in ice cream and pastry courses.
Finally, a museum entirely dedicated to ice cream could not be missing: inaugurated in 2012, Carpigiani Gelato Museum, in addition to the usual visits to learn about the history of ice cream, also offers workshops, events, tastings and educational workshops for schools.

Among the others, we developed:
- over 10 web projects, including temporary sites and landing pages, but also the main institutional websites, such as those of Gelato University and Museo del Gelato;
- 9 international campaigns on search engines for Gelato University: they have generated over time about 5,000 prospects, a thousand direct information requests and 12% of total orders from the site, for a turnover of € 275,000;

The school celebrated its first 15 years in 2018: the website we developed for gelato University celebrated its tenth birthday, too.
Over the years the website has undergone various restylings: it now offers its content in 13 languages, with specific landing pages for worldwide campuses. Approximately 160,000 visitors pass through it every year and they can choose and purchase the courses they are interested in directly from the site.
About one thousand of those who purchased, have done it directly from their smartphone, as the website is responsive and really easy to use. Launched in September 2012, Carpigiani Gelato Museum tells us about the history, culture and tecnology of artisan gelato from the origins to nowadays. It boasts a collection of over 10.000 photographs, historical documents, vintage tools and accessories, unpublished video-interviews and 20 original gelato machines.
Thanks to the variety of events on the calendar, the Museum is able to offer its visitors a unique experience, tailored to all ages and needs: workshops for schools and families, tastings for adults and children, masterclasses of gelato with Carpigiani master gelato makers, birthday parties at the Museum.

The carpigiani.com global portal, intended for users from all countries in 19 languages, has represented Carpigiani's online brand identity in the world for ten years.
The site, equipped with a complex architecture, but at the same time easy to navigate, offered targeted pages with specific content for each language, in addition to shared information on the company, mission and vision.
Commercial sections offered a complete overview of the nearly 2,000 ice cream making and pastry making machines available, each with its own detailed technical sheet. Finally, the global map of dealers made it possible to select and contact the branch of interest by geographic area.
What should I do if the Ready 14 20 batch freezer has a problem? Who do I contact for assistance with my Pastrochef RTL machine? The Carpigiani Services portal offers all the information necessary for technical support to anyone who owns a Carpigiani machine. Assistance is provided both remotely, through Teorema e-maintenance, and through the capillary network of authorized centers. From the site it is possible to find the closest center among the 480 existing ones. The site is mainly aimed at technicians, installers and dealers, who, by logging in, can find online the documentation of each machine, available in 8 languages. The site itself is in 8 languages, plus Italian, in order to guarantee optimal access to information from any corner of the planet. Gelato Festival is a traveling competition that has conquered gelato makers from all over the world. It takes place at Carpigiani dealers and distributors in various areas of the world and each country has its own regulations.
From the Gelato Festival website, published in five languages, gelato makers can select the geographic area of interest to participate in the challenge, find out which dealer is closest and know the dates of the event, then register, after viewing the rules, with their own ice cream flavour.

Carpigiani Gelato University provides language courses both at the headquarters in Anzola nell'Emilia and at 10 international locations. We are strongly bonded to this project, the first we developed on behalf of Carpigiani Group: the heart of the portal is certainly the educational offer with multilingual courses, preparatory online courses with handouts and videos, itinerant and classroom courses in the Carpigiani offices around the world, customized courses for those with special needs.
Those who cultivate the dream of opening a gelato shop in Italy or abroad can refer to it to find every level of training, from basic courses to thematic and highly specialized ones. There are many second generation emigrants, children of Italians residing abroad, who decide to stop in Anzola to learn and export the Italian art of gelato to the country in which they live.
All courses can be booked and purchased online also by credit card. Language, location and dates are defined during the purchase process. At the disposal of each navigator there is a reserved area in which it is possible to view the list of purchased courses and all payments and where the multimedia documentation of the courses attended is made available.
The front-end side is completed by an articulated back-end structure, through which the staff of the School manages everything related to the courses: the educational offer published online, prices, promotions and all the information contained on the site, but also the orders, complete personal data of each student, the archive of the courses they attended, their payment status, satisfaction surveys. The management system also provides statistical data on sales, on attendance to courses and manages additional data, such as those relating to the gelato market in the various countries of the world or the database of ice cream parlours, which can be used for multi-channel marketing operations.
The management of contents in different languages
Carpigiani Group is a large international reality: online projects are aimed at a global audience and they are therefore all multilingual. Content management is carried out independently by the Client thanks to a back-end system that allows them to easily create, publish and de-publish documents in all the languages provided.

Editors in the four corners of the world can work simultaneously on the content management system, publishing information in 13 different languages, including Russian, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.
Integrated to web projects, the newsletter platform allows the customer to convey updates, promotions, manage e-mail marketing operations and do branding.
For Carpigiani we have activated five newsletter accounts, each of them multi-user, with multiple graphic layouts and customized features. Almost 700 newsletters have been sent to date.
Carpigiani Group is growing: Carpigiani Gelato University is among the most active sectors of this growth, it is no coincidence that we are developing a new application for the School intended to support the organizational needs of the staff in facing the increasingly large number of students from all over the world that chooses to train at the Anzola headquarters.
The new release of the back-office will soon be available, including a classroom booking system that will allow the School staff to automatically manage, without errors or overlaps, the distribution of courses in the various available classrooms, always keeping an eye on the overall situation of the spaces intended for training.
Thanks to the responsive design, the application will be optimized for any device, ensuring quick and effective use even from smartphones and tablets.
